poor caesar...

so this morning caesar went to his friend quinn's house to play. i went to get him and quinn (very white dog) had blood all over his back. i looked at caesar to see where it was coming from and it was caesars right front paw. i'm not sure exactly what could have happened but it looks like maybe he tore his 'thumb' nail off while playing... possibly on the chainlink fence. it really didn't seem to bother him at all but i bathed him and held him in a towel (yes, i smell like wet dog now!) until joel got here with the gauze and tape. he works with a lady that trains dogs and she said just to keep it wrapped up long enough for it to stop bleeding and then let it air out so it doesn't harbor infection. we'll be keeping our eye on it for a while to make sure it doesn't get infected. poor thing...
